The Web Site has been established as a means of preserving and sharing  our thirty-five years of family research into the life and times of the McWillie and related families.  That research has taken us on many journeys to sites in North America,  England, Australia and Scotland.  While in our travels we have had the pleasure of locating and meeting with many McWillie and related family members.  In practically all occasions those people willingly shared their knowledge of family histories and thereby added significantly  to the knowledge and history of our ancestors.  Without that help and guidance this web site would not have been possible.  We will remain indebted to those family members and publicly wish to acknowledge and thank them  for their significant contributions.  There are also a number of individuals who have contributed family information and documentation that we have only met through regular and electronic mail and the Internet and which we now consider friends, and who we shall also remain indebted to because of the information they supplied.

Occassionally within this Web Site a reader may find "RN= and a number" following a name.  That RN= or reference number identifies that individual within our "McWillie Family Archive" files, which contain all the research papers and other published family documents & histories use in research.
